Detectives have arrested and charged a man with murder following investigations after the body of a man was located at Howard today (February 12).
Around 6:25pm officers attended a Hervey Bay address, where they took an 18-year-old Sunshine Acres man into custody.
He has been charged with murder, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, arson, armed robbery and deprivation of liberty – unlawfully detain.
He has been refused police bail and will appear in Hervey Bay Magistrates Court tomorrow (February 13).
A 17-year-old Pacific Haven male has been additionally charged with one count each of robbery and deprivation of liberty – unlawfully detain.
His bail has been refused. He will appear before Hervey Bay Children's Court.
