Police update: Missing man, Macgregor

Police have renewed a public appeal for assistance to locate a 62-year-old man who went missing from Macgregor on August 24, with new information suggesting he may be in Mount Gravatt.

A land and aerial search are currently underway in the vicinity of Mount Gravatt lookout for Dong Xia (pictured) after ongoing inquiries led police to believe he is in the area.

Mr Xia left a residence Avocado Street home at around 3.50pm on August 24 in a silver Rav 4 and has not been heard from since.

Police and family members hold concerns for his welfare as he suffers a medical condition.

He is described as Asian, around 171 cm tall with tanned skin, black hair and eyes. He was last seen wearing a blue jumper, blue pants and red shoes.

Police are urging anyone who has seen the man or his car to contact police straight away.
