Police update: Shot fired at Bald Hills

A man has been charged after an appeal for information to an incident at Bald Hills yesterday where a firearm was allegedly discharged into a vehicle.

Around 7.30pm last night Polair observed a stolen silver Audi Q5 travelling through Moreton and alerted police patrolling nearby.

Officers successfully deployed a tyre deflation device on Elizabeth Avenue at Clontarf and Hornibrook Highway bridge before the driver was taken into custody on the Deagon Deviation.

A 21-year-old Deception Bay man has been charged with one count each of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, dangerous operation of a vehicle, fail to comply with requirements to stop private vehicle, driving of motor vehicle without a licence, enter premises and commit indictable offence, burglary and commit indictable offence, stealing, possess dangerous drugs, breach bail condition and two counts of receiving tainted property.

He has also been charged over the alleged theft of an Audi after it was reported stolen from a Windsor address last Wednesday, April 8.

He is due to appear before the Pine Rivers Magistrates Court today.
