Police update: Sudden Death, Coomera

Police are appealing for public assistance as part of ongoing investigations into the sudden death of 12-year-old girl at a Coomera home in April.

Police were called to the Bellagio Crescent residence around 8:00pm on Monday April 18, after Tiffani Scholten was found unresponsive.

Emergency services attended and the girl was declared deceased.

A crime scene was declared at the home and 'Operation Uniform Zoysia' was established.

Tiffani suffered from a number of health conditions, however, investigations continue into the circumstances and cause of her death.

Detectives are now appealing to anyone who may have seen Tiffani between December 2021 and April 18 2022 – or anyone, including children, who may have visited the Bellagio Crescent home or had interactions with the family over the past two years – to come forward.

The Gold Coast District's Child Protection and Investigation Unit is investigating, and the Crime and Intelligence Command's Child Trauma Taskforce is assisting those investigations.
