Police have charged a 50-year-old man following the suspicious death of a 74-year-old woman at Molendinar last night (March 20).
Police were called to a house at Macquarie Avenue around 8:40pm where they discovered the body of a woman.
It is alleged the man and the woman were known to each other.
A 50-year-old man from Molendinar has been charged with murder.
He is due to face Southport Magistrates Court this afternoon.
Police are still presently processing the crime scene.
