Police Update: Sudden Death Investigation At Beenleigh

Police have charged a man with murder as part of ongoing investigations into the sudden death of a man at Beenleigh yesterday afternoon, 18 August.

Around 4.45pm, police were called to a Lubach Street residence following reports of an altercation between three people, all known to each other.

It will be alleged that during the altercation, a 66-year-old man sustained stab wounds.

Upon police arrival, CPR was commenced on the man, however he died at the scene a short time later.

A crime scene was declared, with a man and a woman taken into custody.

Following investigations, police have since charged a 47-year-old Karalee man with one count of murder.

He is due to appear at the Brisbane Magistrates Court today, 19 August.

The 43-year-old Beenleigh woman is presently under police guard in hospital and is expected to assist police further with their investigations into the man's death.

Investigations continue.
