Police update: Suspicious death, Coomera

Police have released images of a blue utility as part of the investigation into the suspicious death of a man at Coomera overnight.

Around 11pm, police were notified of smoke coming from a Leichardt Street address.

Further investigations located a 21-year-old man deceased inside the residence.

Investigations continue to confirm the man's cause of death.

Around 11.50pm, police were called to a residence on Pioneer Road, Sheldon, after a 38-year-old Coomera man presented at a friend's house suffering significant burns.

Police further located a blue 2013 Holden Commodore utility at the premises.

The man was transported to hospital where he remains in police custody.

The 21-year-old victim and 38-year-old man are known to each other.

Police are now appealing to anyone who may have witnessed or captured dash camera footage of the blue utility (pictured) between Coomera and Sheldon between 10pm and 11.50pm last night, to come forward.
