Police update: Wounding, New Farm

Police have charged a 43-year-old man following a wounding at New Farm last night, January 8.

Initial investigations indicated around 7:30pm, emergency services were called to a Heal Street address following reports of a man with a stab wound to the neck.

A crime scene was declared at the property and a 44-year-old local man was transported in a serious but stable condition to the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital.

A 43-year-old man has been charged with acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm.

Investigators have refused police bail and he is due to appear at the Brisbane Magistrates Court tomorrow, January 10.

Investigators are appealing to anyone who has witnessed anything suspicious, or may have any relevant CCTV/dashcam footage, to come forward.
