Police are praising a man who reported an incident earlier this week in central Wellington, and are calling on him to come forward to help us further.
Around 6pm on 28 September, a man at an arcade on Courtenay Place reported to staff there an incident he witnessed involving a male and a female.
The staff contacted Police, who responded quickly. Officers arrested and charged a 32-year-old male with making an intimate visual recording, and failing to carry out obligations in relation to a computer search.
The man who reported the matter to arcade staff was with who is believed to be his daughter, but left before Police arrived.
"While charges have been filed, a statement to Police from the man who reported this matter remains absolutely crucial to our investigation," says Constable James Hopgood.
"We thank him for reporting what he did so quickly, which has helped lead to a quick arrest - however, we are appealing to him to come forward to help us further."
