A senior sergeant from southern metro region has been charged following an internal investigation.
The 54-year-old male officer has been charged with reckless conduct endangering life, reckless conduct endangering serious injury and two counts of common law assault.
The alleged offending occurred while the officer was off duty in December, 2020.
He has been summonsed to face court at a later date.
