Poll: Dickson voters don't support Dutton becoming PM

A phone poll of 867 residents across Peter Dutton’s electorate of Dickson, conducted last night, found barely a third of his constituents support their local member of parliament becoming Prime Minister. (See attachment)
The ReachTEL survey, commissioned by the Construction Forestry Maritime Mining and Energy Union, asked voters: "Do you support or oppose Peter Dutton’s attempts to displace Malcolm Turnbull as Prime Minister?"
In total, 52.5 per cent opposed Mr Dutton becoming Prime Minister, including 38.9 per cent who strongly opposed him replacing Malcolm Turnbull. Just 37.6 per cent of respondents supported his leadership challenge.
Mr Dutton’s attempt to take the leadership of the Liberal Party was most strongly supported by One Nation voters, with 51.2 per cent strongly supporting his elevation, while among Liberal voters 30.5 per cent were opposed to the move. ---
