Lithgow City Council with funding assistance from the New South Wales government has begun the Portland water mains renewal and trunk construction
From March 2022 residents in the Portland area can expect to see Council's appointed contractors, Utilstra, working on a new main to service the Foundations site and completing renewals in the east of Portland.
These works involve a newly constructed main running from the low level reservoir to Cullen Street, Portland and a number of renewals of watermains and services in the East Portland. The contractors will be carrying work out in roadways with some site offices setup across the township.
The project is proudly funded by the New South Wales Government and Council would like to thank and extend its appreciation to the state government for this investment in the township's water supply.
