Positive Covid-19 Case Update 14 February

One new positive COVID-19 case has been recorded in the Northern Territory in the past 24 hours.

A 21 year old male who arrived in the first tranche of the 2021 Marine Rotational has tested positive for COVID-19. The man arrived on an international flight to the Northern Territory on 11 February 2021. He is asymptomatic, and in line with established processes, has been moved from quarantine to the care of Royal Darwin Hospital. Due to strict quarantine measures in place for all arriving Marines, this case of COVID-19 was promptly detected and the Marine had no direct contact with the general community.

Since repatriation flights to the Northern Territory began on 23 October 2020:

  • 3780 international arrivals have undertaken quarantine at the Howard Springs Centre for National Resilience
  • A total of 65 positive COVID-19 cases have been reported from international repatriation.

The total number of cases diagnosed in the Northern Territory is 104. All cases have been related to international or interstate travel, with no cases of community transmission.
