President of Law Society of NSW will attend Liverpool Local Court Open Day

LAW SOCIETY OF NSW PRESIDENT TO ATTEND
LIVERPOOL LOCAL COURT OPEN DAY
President of the Law Society of NSW, Elizabeth Espinosa, will attend the Liverpool Local Court Open Day at 10am on Thursday 1 August 2019.
Ms Espinosa will be accompanied by Liverpool-Fairfield District Regional Law Society President, Andrew Lee.
The Open Day will be attended by newly arrived migrants and refugees who are studying English at Navitas College giving them the opportunity to learn about the state's legal system and how the courts operate.
The program will include a Mock Trial of a newly arrived migrant who has been charged with speeding and driving while unlicensed.
The Liverpool Local Court Open Day is a Law Week initiative, supported by the NSW Department of Communities and Justice, the Law Society of NSW, Legal Aid NSW and NSW Police.
A similar Open Day was held at Fairfield Local Court on 31 August 2019.
