Police are calling for public assistance to locate Eric Ebatarinja.
Mr Ebatarinja removed his electronic monitoring bracelet before absconding from the Darwin Correctional Facility in Holtze earlier this evening.
Mr Ebatarinja is described as of Aboriginal appearance, 160cm tall, slim build, brown eyes and black/brown hair. He was last seen wearing red and black shorts and a blue singlet.
If members of the public see Mr Ebatarinja or knows of his whereabouts, do not approach him, please call Police on 131444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
