Prohibited weapons seized; man charged - Chifley

A man has been charged after prohibited weapons and drugs were seized during a search of a home in the state's Central Tablelands.

About 9.30am yesterday (Tuesday 12 August 2020), investigators attached to Chifley Police District executed a firearm prohibition order (FPO) and a weapons prohibition order (WPO) at a home on Castlereagh Highway, Cullen Bullen.

During the search of the home officers located and seized what will be alleged to be methylamphetamine, and prohibited weapons in the form of knuckle dusters, an extendable baton and ammunition.

The 40-year-old man was arrested and taken to Lithgow Police Station.

He was charged with two counts of use prohibited weapon contrary to prohibition order, possess prohibited drug and firearm found at premises-subject to prohibition order

The man was given conditional bail to appear at Lithgow Local Court on Thursday 8 October 2020.
