Project Planet Set To Support Sustainability In Bayside

Project Planet is set to transform Cahill Park, Wolli Creek into a vibrant celebration of sustainability and community action on Saturday 18 October.

This inaugural Bayside Council event will bring together changemakers, innovators and families for a full day of discovery, connection and inspiration along the banks of the Cooks River.

Attendees will be able to experience a dynamic atmosphere filled with hands-on workshops, engaging panel discussions and interactive activities designed to spark real-world action toward a greener lifestyle. The event will feature a diverse mix of eco-focused businesses, environmental organisations and community groups, all showcasing practical ideas for living more sustainably.

Attendees can explore themed stalls, learn new skills, and enjoy a delicious range of food from sustainable vendors committed to low-waste practices.

Every detail of the event from compostable materials and reusable crockery to carbon offsetting has been carefully considered to reflect Bayside Council's commitment to environmental leadership and 2032 sustainability goals.

The program includes cooking demonstrations, solar energy showcases, electric vehicle displays and eco workshops for all ages.

Families can enjoy a screening of The Wild Robot, while nature lovers can settle in for Ocean with David Attenborough.

The free event will give attendees fresh ideas, practical tools and the motivation to reduce their environmental footprint and contribute to a more resilient future for Bayside.
