Property Crime Charges in Moreton, Brisbane Districts

Detectives from Caboolture Criminal Investigation Branch have charged five teenagers following investigations into several property offences in the Moreton and Brisbane areas over the past two weeks.

It will be alleged that between 8 and 21 December, the group were involved in the theft of property from six different businesses at Morayfield, Rothwell, Mango Hill, Narangba and Brisbane City

It will also be alleged four of the teenagers broke into a house on Hemsworth Street, Acacia Ridge overnight on Friday, 19 December, and stole a black Subaru Outback.

Two of the boys allegedly also broke into a house on Falcon Street, Burpengary East between 10pm on Saturday, 20 December and 3am on Sunday, 21 December, stealing personal property and a white Mazda CX-8.

It will be further alleged the Mazda was involved in a traffic crash about 2.15am Sunday on Fraser Drive, Burpengary East, before two teenage boys were taken into custody near Harvey Court and Waterside Esplanade.

The Subaru Outback was located a short distance away and the other three boys were located soon after.

A 16-year-old Caboolture South boy has been charged with 11 offences including three counts of enter premises and commit indictable offence, two counts of enter dwelling and commit, and one count each of unlawful use of a motor vehicle and face masked with intent to commit indictable offence. He is due to reappear in Caboolture Children's Court on 5 January.

A 14-year-old Wamuran boy has been charged with nine offences including two counts of enter dwelling and commit and one count each of receiving tainted property and unlawful use of a motor vehicle. He is due to reappear in Caloundra Children's Court on 24 December.

A 15-year-old Narangba boy has been charged with one count each of enter dwelling and commit, receiving tainted property, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, and stealing. He is due to reappear in Caboolture Children's Court on 7 January.

A 15-year-old Godwin Beach boy has been charged with two counts of enter premises and commit indictable offence, and one count each of enter dwelling with intent, face masked with intent to commit indictable offence, unlawful use of a motor vehicle and receiving tainted property. He is due to reappear in Caboolture Children's Court on 21 January.

A 17-year-old Rothwell boy has been charged with two counts of enter dwelling and commit, and one count each of enter premises and commit indictable offence, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, face masked with intent to commit indictable offence and receiving tainted property. He is due to reappear in Caboolture Children's Court on 14 January.
