A protective service officer (PSO) from the eastern metro region has been charged following an internal investigation.
The 37-year-old male officer has been charged with attempt to pervert the course of justice and drink driving.
The matter relates to a fatal collision in Bayswater North on 20 July, 2021 when the officer was off duty.
He has been summonsed to face court at a later date.
