PSPA declaration at Bray Park, QLD

Police have declared an emergency situation under the Public Safety Preservation Act following an incident at Bray Park, Queensland Police say.

At around 10:35am police were called to an address on Sparkes Road following reports of a man making threats.

No one else is involved in the incident.

A PSPA was declared at 1:30pm and police have established an exclusion zone (pictured) which encompasses Outlook Parade to the intersection of Alcira Street and Outlook Parade, to the intersection of Alcira Street and Sparkes Road, to the border of the rear oval of Bray Park State School, along the school border to Sandra Cook, left onto Princess and Gerard Street, left into Gerard to the roundabout and back to Sparkes Road.

Police negotiators are currently on the scene.
