PSPA declaration, Logan Reserve

Police have made an emergency declaration under the Public Safety Preservation Act (PSPA) in relation to an incident taking place in Logan Reserve.

Shortly after 12am this morning, police attended a Chambers Flat Road property in relation to a disturbance.

Upon arrival, police began negotiations with a man, who is in the residence alone and is believed to be armed.

An emergency situation was declared just before 6am, with boundaries encompassing Chambers Flat Road, School Road and Logan Reserve Road.

Members of the public are advised to avoid the area and those within the exclusion zone are asked to remain indoors until further notice.

Traffic diversions are in place.
