Police have declared an emergency declaration under the Public Safety Preservation Act (PSPA) in Archer River this afternoon, 19 September.
Emergency services were called at 3:22pm to reports of a bushfire on Peninsula Development Road.
A PSPA was subsequently declared with exclusion zones between Archer River Roadhouse and five kilometres south along Peninsula Development Road.
Motorists are urged to avoid the area and seek alternative routes.
