PSPA revoked at Gladstone

Police have revoked an emergency declaration under the Public Safety Preservation Act in relation to an incident in Gladstone.

The declaration was revoked at 10.15pm.

Emergency services were called to Flinders Street shortly after 4.30pm following the discovery of a suspicious device on the footpath.

An exclusion zone was established and a PSPA declaration was made around 7.48pm on Flinders Street between Kent Street and Flinders Parade.

Specialist police attended the scene and examined the device before establishing there was no imminent threat.
