PSPA revoked – Suspicious school fire at Morningside, QLD

Police have revoked an emergency situation under the Public Safety Preservation Act after a suspicious school fire at Morningside earlier this morning, Queensland Police say.

Shortly after 3am police and emergency services attended the facility at Pashen Street with several buildings destroyed and a number of others sustaining significant damage.

The declaration was made at 3.25am and revoked at 7.30am.

A crime scene has been established and the fire is being treated as suspicious with traffic control in place at Thynne Road and Stephens Street.

Police are seeking assistance from members of the public who may have seen any suspicious activity in the vicinity to contact them.
