Public appeal after Fawkner serious assault

Moreland Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for public assistance following a serious assault in Fawkner on Saturday 29 February.

Investigators have been told an unknown man assaulted the male victim at a McBryde Street address following a minor dispute over damaged property about 2am.

The unknown man punched the victim multiple times in the face before fleeing the scene in a taxi with an unknown woman.

The 42-year-old victim sustained serious facial injuries during the incident and was transported to hospital.

Investigators have released images of a man they believe will be able to assist with their enquiries.

He is perceived to be Caucasian in appearance, 170 - 180cm tall, with a thin build and dark blond hair.
