Public appeal: Assault occasioning bodily harm, Mermaid Beach 22 April

Police have released vision of two men as part of the investigation into the assault of a musician outside a Nobby Beach bar on February 13, after he declined to play a requested song.

Around 10.45pm, the 35-year-old man exited the Gold Coast Highway bar where he was headbutted by one man and punched in the face by the other.

Earlier, the men had been inside the venue where they had asked the 35-year-old musician to play a specific song, which he declined.

Upon exiting the bar on his break, the musician was approached by the two men who yelled that he should have played the song before assaulting him, causing bruising and swelling to his left eye.

Detectives urge anyone who knows anything about this assault to come forward.

Investigations continue.
