Public Health Order: New Rules and Changes to Council Services

Residents and visitors to Dungog Shire are advised that, due to the evolving COVID-19 situation and in-line with the latest Public Health Orders, a number of restrictions and service changes are now in place throughout the shire.

NSW Health advises that the following restrictions now apply to regional areas, including Dungog Shire:

  • Visitors to households are limited to 5 guests, including children;
  • Masks are compulsory in all indoor non-residential settings, including workplaces, and at organised outdoor events;
  • Drinking while standing at indoor venues is not allowed;
  • Singing by audiences at indoor shows or by congregants at indoor places of worship is not allowed;
  • Dancing is not allowed at indoor hospitality venues or nightclubs;
  • Dancing is not allowed at weddings, however dancing is allowed at weddings for the wedding party only (no more than 20 people);
  • Dance and gym classes are limited to 20 per class (masks must be worn);
  • The one person per four square metre rule has been re-introduced for all indoor and outdoor settings, including weddings and funerals;
  • Outdoor seated, ticketed events are limited to 50% seated capacity.
Individuals who have been in the Greater Sydney region (including the Blue Mountains, Central Coast, Wollongong and Shellharbour) on or after June 21 must follow the current 'stay-at-home' orders for a period of 14 days after they left Greater Sydney.
