Minister for Disability Services, Jo Palmer, said the consultation process will play a critical role in shaping how Thriving Kids will be delivered across the State.
"Thriving Kids is about giving every child the chance to reach their full potential by providing support when they need it the most," Minister Palmer said.
"We want families, support providers, advocates, and the wider Tasmanian disability community to have their say.
"By listening we will ensure Thriving Kids is informed by lived experience, grounded in evidence, and tailored to the needs of Tasmanian children and their families.
"Our Government is delivering meaningful change for Tasmanians with disability."
The Tasmanian Government has entered into a bilateral agreement with the Australian Government to deliver Thriving Kids, a national program providing foundational supports for children aged 8 and under with developmental delay or autism who have low to moderate support needs, and their families.
Children with permanent and significant disability will continue to be supported through the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).
Thriving Kids will be rolled out in stages from October 2026, with full implementation expected by 1 January 2028.
Community consultation for Thriving Kids will take place between April and June this year.
