Public Input Sought on RPAS Cybersecurity Guidance

What's in the AC

The guidance looks at aircraft level airworthiness cybersecurity, including:

  • Airborne subsystems in RPA
  • Ground subsystems that support flight, such as remote pilot station (RPS) or ground control stations (GCS)
  • Command and control (C2) links between the RPS/GCS and the RPA
  • Supporting infrastructure needed to control the RPA in flight.

It focuses on areas of safety such as flight controllers, sensors and actuators, surveillance and navigation equipment, C2 links and mission systems.
