Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness Minister Bill Blair speaks to Ontario Solicitor General

Minister Blair stressed the importance of finding a peaceful and lasting resolution to the blockade in Tyendinaga. He emphasized that the blockade is threatening public health and safety, as well as forcing layoffs. Both Ministers agreed that the current situation is untenable.

Minister Blair committed to continued dialogue with all parties involved to end the blockades so the country's rail system can return to full functionality and Canadian business can resume unfettered.
