Public Warning: Do not deal with Siaosi Liumaunu also known as ‘Siaosi Faatonu’ and trading using ‘OZI Fencing’, and ‘ALZ Fencing’

NSW Consumers are being warned not to deal with Siaosi Liumaunu also known as ‘Siaosi Faatonu’.

NSW Fair Trading Commissioner Rose Webb today said Mr Liumaunu sometimes trades through ALZ Fencing Pty Ltd, ACN 623 880 419, and Ozi Fencing, ABN 85 207 204 762.

Ms Webb said Fair Trading is concerned that Mr Liumaunu may be seeking to trade without a licence and noted he had never held a contractor licence in NSW.

“Mr Liumaunu seeks various types of residential building work, primarily fencing, but performs defective work that is not of a trade standard,” Ms Webb said.

“We have received complaints noting he sometimes fails to perform work for which he has been paid, and does not refund the money.

“It has been reported to Fair Trading that Mr Liumaunu has used a variety of excuses to not complete work including illness, overseas travel and the death of relatives.”

Ms Webb said consumers should only deal with licensed traders, and emphasised the need for consumers to check a licence at fairtrading.nsw.gov.au or call 13 32 20.

Anyone who has had problems with Siaosi Liumaunu or related names and businesses, or has information about his continued operation, should contact NSW Fair Trading on 13 32 20, or lodge a written complaint online at fairtrading.nsw.gov.au.
