Public Works Committee To Examine Attorney-General's Department's Proposed Fit-out Of 3-5 National Circuit

The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Public Works will consider the Attorney-General's Department's (AGD) proposed fit-out of existing leased premises at 3-5 National Circuit, Barton, Australian Capital Territory under the Public Works Committee Act 1969. The proposed works were referred for inquiry and report on Wednesday, 8 October 2025.

The AGD is proposing the works to enable it to consolidate from three building into one in Canberra and reduce its overall office footprint by 26 per cent (6,817 m2). The scope of the proposed works includes: a new reception area and shared meeting facilities, new enclosed spaces and workstations, the consolidation and redesign of staff amenities including kitchens and breakout spaces, repainting of all interior painted surfaces, replacement of flooring where needed, and other related construction works.

The estimated cost of the proposed works is $39.93 million.
