Due to overwhelming demand, the full allocation of subsidised desexing vouchers for this round has now been exhausted. As a result, Council has opened a waitlist for residents who would like to participate when additional support becomes available.
City of Mount Gambier General Manager Corporate and Regulatory Services Jane Fetherstonhaugh says Council has been thrilled with the strong level of participation.
"The enthusiastic response highlights how much residents value affordable and accessible pet care services. The program's success also showcases the positive outcomes that can be achieved when local government works in partnership with community‑focused organisations to deliver practical, high‑impact support," Mrs Fetherstonhaugh said.
