Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk has thanked school communities for getting ready for back to school, as zero new cases of COVID-19 and a revision of previous figures show a drop in the overall number of confirmed cases.
There are now 12 active cases, 1038 recovered and six deaths for a revised total of 1056.
Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk said that was good news as Years 2 to 10 joined other students back at school.
"But as I've said very clearly, we are not out of the woods yet, we need to take each day as it comes, each week as it comes, and we'll keep our fingers crossed that Queenslanders will continue to flatten that curve," Ms Palaszczuk said.
So, I want thank all of the school communities for getting schools prepared."

- Three weeks until Stage 2 of the Roadmap to Easing Restrictions, Ms Palaszczuk said there would be more talks this week with the hospitality industry about venues catering for more than 20 patrons – with an approved COVID Safe plan.
"They have done a lot of work, and if the COVID Safe plans are in place, they will be allowed to have more customers when Stage 2 kicks in," she said.
