  • Crisafulli Government unlocks 3.3-hectares of Yeerongpilly land for housing and Queensland Tennis Centre expansion in the lead-up to the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
  • 2.3-hectares of land released for the Games Independent Infrastructure and Coordination Authority (GIICA) to expand Queensland Tennis Centre as part of the 2032 Delivery Plan.
  • Prime one-hectare site released to market to unlock a new thriving residential and mixed-use development at Yeerongpilly.
  • The Crisafulli Government is delivering a fresh start after 1,200 days of Labor Games chaos.

The Crisafulli Government has secured an agreement to expand the Queensland Tennis Centre ahead of the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games and give more Queenslanders a place to call home by releasing land for residential and mixed-use development.

The Crisafulli Government's agreement with the Games Independent Infrastructure and Coordination Authority will deliver a genuine long-term legacy for the 2032 Games, opening up more than 3.3 hectares at Yeerongpilly for future generations.

The agreement will enable the expansion of Queensland's home of tennis, secure a world-class base for the 2032 Games, and deliver a legacy venue for Queenslanders to enjoy for generations to come.

Under the agreement, the Crisafulli Government has also released two neighbouring land parcels, totalling more than a hectare, to market, paving the way for a residential and mixed-use precinct to help tackle Labor's Housing Crisis by giving more Queenslanders a place to call home.

The prime development site sits in the heart of a growing inner-south community, connected to the Queensland Tennis Centre, Brisbane River, and the newly upgraded Cross River Rail station positioning it as a key legacy venue and a catalyst for new housing and community well beyond 2032.

The Crisafulli Government is getting on with the job of and delivering outcomes Queenslanders can see after the former Labor Government talked about the Games for more than 1000 days without a real plan.

Deputy Premier and Minister for State Development, Infrastructure and Planning Jarrod Bleijie said the opportunity was another example of the Crisafulli Government's 2032 Delivery Plan and its positive impact in motion, following a decade of decline under Labor.

"Where Labor delivered chaos and crisis, we are delivering certainty," Deputy Premier Bleijie said.

"They talked about the Games for over 1000 days without a real plan, but the Crisafulli Government is getting on with the job and delivering outcomes Queenslanders can see.

"Under the former Labor Government, housing lot approvals slumped by 29 per cent, leading to record-low rental vacancy rates and a skyrocketing social housing waitlist across Queensland.

"The Crisafulli Government is delivering for 2032 by building the venues we need and by making sure every investment leaves a lasting legacy for Queenslanders long after the Games are over.

"We're not just preparing for a two-week event – our focus is on lasting community benefit, from more housing to world-class sporting infrastructure.

"Queenslanders deserve venues, homes, and public spaces that will serve their communities well beyond the final medal ceremony."
