Queensland's world-class beef, dairy and agricultural products have taken centre stage at an international networking event in Indonesia today, as part of a high-level trade mission.

The Crisafulli Government is delivering a better lifestyle through a stronger economy, with the "Taste of Queensland" event bringing together leaders from Queensland and Indonesia's food and agriculture sectors to highlight the best of the State's primary industries, from world-class beef and live cattle to horticulture and processed foods.

Strong international partnerships play a vital role in achieving the Crisafulli Government's ambitious goal of boosting primary production output to $30 billion by 2030.

During a decade of decline under Labor, Queensland's primary industries were mismanaged and neglected, none more so than the cattle export industry, but the Crisafulli Government has exporters' backs.

The trade mission, led by Primary Industries Minister Tony Perrett, is focused on strengthening relationships between the two countries and showcasing Queensland's role in supporting Indonesia's food security and agricultural development.

There is a particular focus on the beef supply chain, live cattle trade, and sustainable agricultural practices.

Last year Queensland's total agriculture exports to Indonesia, our sixth largest export market, were valued at $718 million, reaffirming the importance of this market.

Queensland's support for Indonesia's food security goals reflects the Crisafulli Government's broader commitment to creating opportunities for shared growth and prosperity.

Indonesia is Australia's largest beef cattle export market and now Queensland's first shipment of dairy heifers will soon arrive to support the local diary industry.

Collaboration across the entire value chain was a central theme of the "Taste of Queensland" event, emphasising the importance of partnerships spanning live cattle, beef, horticulture and processed foods

Minister for Primary Industries Tony Perrett said the event proudly showcased Queensland's premium beef as its centrepiece.

"Queensland's primary producers are proud of their reputation for delivering safe and sustainable products, and we are honoured to share these with our Indonesian partners," Minister Perrett said.

"The Crisafulli Government is committed to fostering long-term relationships with Indonesia and building stable and reliable supply chains that benefits producers, businesses and consumers in both regions.

"Queensland and Indonesia share many values, at the heart of which is food security, to ensure an ongoing stable, safe and affordable supply chain to nourish our people."

Minister Perrett said the upcoming launch of a premium beef brand in Indonesia reflects the growing demand for Queensland's high quality beef products and highlights the state's ability to meet the needs of international markets, while creating new opportunities for Queenslanders.
