- Crisafulli Government delivers state-of-the-art Allora Precinct, including new Allora Library.

- New precinct delivered 16 jobs during construction and will deliver 12 operational jobs for the Southern Downs region.
The Crisafulli Government is delivering critical community infrastructure for the Southern Downs with the newly redeveloped Allora Precinct officially opened today by Deputy Premier and Minister for State Development, Infrastructure and Planning Jarrod Bleijie.
Funded through the permanent Works for Queensland program, and delivered in partnership with Southern Downs Regional Council, the state-of-the-art precinct reaffirms the Crisafulli Government's commitment to regional economic growth and job creation.
The project will transform the former Allora Senior Citizen Centre to deliver a new home for the Allora Library, as well as space for essential services and community events.
The $770,000 redevelopment boosted the regional economy during construction by creating 16 local jobs and is expected to create a further 12 operational jobs.
The Crisafulli Government is delivering $200 million over two years from 2027–28 to make the Works for Queensland program permanent, and $100 million each year ongoing to support jobs and infrastructure in regional communities.
Deputy Premier and Minister for State Development, Infrastructure and Planning Jarrod Bleijie said the Crisafulli Government was delivering for regional Queensland following a decade of decline under the former Labor Government.
"Under Labor's decade of decline, critical infrastructure in regional Queensland was left unfunded, forgotten or scrapped altogether, but the Crisafulli Government is turning that around with record investment in the regions," Deputy Premier Bleijie said.
"Our government is backing regional Queensland and projects like this are crucial to ensuring these communities thrive.
"Projects like this will not only help improve the liveability of local communities but also support tens of thousands of jobs in rural and regional Queensland."
Member for Southern Downs James Lister said the Allora Precinct would become a hub for the local community.
"We want to see rural and regional communities across Queensland thrive, which is we have made Works for Queensland a permanent funding program," Mr Lister said.
"Projects like this will not only help improve the liveability of local communities but also support construction jobs in rural and regional council areas."
Southern Downs Regional Council Mayor Melissa Hamilton said Allora was renowned for its strong sense of community.
"Spaces such as these allow the community to come together, connect and inspire great ideas grow. Allora is renowned for its strong sense of community and I know that they will get use this new Precinct to connect, exercise, plan and play," Mayor Hamilton said.

Southern Downs Regional Council Portfolio Councillor for Productive Communities Cr Carla Pidgeon said the precinct was an investment in Allora's future.
"The Allora Precinct is an investment in Allora's future and we've created a space that's flexible, accessible and ready for what's next," Cr Pidgeon said.
"It has been designed to adapt with the community, offering room to gather, learn and lead into the future.
"I'm always advocating for the Allora community to ensure we get the facilities we need, and I want to thank every resident who shared their ideas, their hopes and their pride in this town. Your input shaped this precinct."
