Queensland Home Prices Exceed $1M Mark

The total value of Australia's residential dwellings rose by $317.0 billion or 2.7 per cent to $11.9 trillion in the September quarter 2025, according to figures released today by the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS).

Dr Mish Tan, ABS head of finance statistics, said: 'Queensland is the second state after New South Wales with a mean dwelling price of over $1 million, following a rise of 3.5 per cent or $33,900 in the September quarter 2025. The mean price of dwellings in Queensland is now $91,400 higher than September quarter 2024.'

The mean price of residential dwellings rose in all states and territories, with the largest rises seen in Western Australia (4.5 per cent or $40,800), Queensland (3.5 per cent or $33,900) and the Northern Territory (5.3 per cent or $28,400).
