Queensland latest coronavirus data as at 28 December

Queensland has recorded five new cases of COVID-19. All cases are overseas acquired and detected while in hotel quarantine.

These new cases are being managed by the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Services.

This brings Queensland's total cases to 1,246, 13 of which are active.

Following further testing, the two cases detected on the Lady E marine vessel have been determined as historical cases and are no longer considered active cases.

Any individual who returns a positive COVID-19 test result in Queensland is interviewed. If required, further testing is undertaken to better understand the circumstance around their infection.
