The Crisafulli Government is delivering a plan for Queensland's future and getting on with the job of fixing Logan's public transport network by delivering improved bus services.

Stage 2A of the Logan Growth Bus Services Program will see an additional 214 weekly bus services to better connect Logan Hospital, Griffith University, Loganlea TAFE and four new stops in Bahrs Scrub, the suburb's first public transport connections.

The new services are commencing from 23 February, while an operator has also been appointed to deliver On Demand Transport for Yarrabilba.

The Crisafulli Government is delivering cost of living relief Queenslanders can rely on, with On Demand Transport providing flexible, affordable travel options under the LNP's Permanent 50 cent Fares initiative.

It's just one of the ways the Crisafulli Government is delivering a fresh start and better lifestyle through a stronger economy after Labor's decade of decline.

Minister for Transport and Main Roads Brent Mickelberg said fixing Logan's bus network was a key priority for the Crisafulli Government to keep up with population growth.

"The Crisafulli Government is committed to delivering projects to improve Logan's transport infrastructure and since getting elected, we are getting on with the job of giving the community a reliable and efficient bus network, which has had no real priority in years," Minister Mickelberg said.

"We are delivering more services, better and more dependable connections to 500 Queenslanders who've never had regular, affordable public transport.

"This will be a gamechanger for seniors who can stay socially connected, a casual worker who can pick up an extra shift, and families having a day out.

"By delivering a new On Demand Transport service for Yarabilba, we are connecting residents with essential community services, and onwards public transport options.

"Best of all, every service will be just 50 cents, thanks to the LNP's Permanent 50 Cent Fares, delivering cost of living relief that Queenslanders can rely on."

Mayor Jon Raven said the new services would be welcomed by the community.

"The fastest growing city in Queensland needs the fastest growing public transport network to support our population as more people choose Logan as the place to raise their family," Mayor Raven said.

"These new services will be well loved by locals who can now save time and money by hopping on a 50c bus to get to work, school and fun activities, beating traffic congestion."

Operator Logan Coaches has been appointed by the Department of Transport and Main Roads to deliver a brand new On Demand Service for Yarabilba, which will commence later this year.
