Queensland Road Safety Week: Speeding

This week is Queensland Road Safety Week (August 21 to 25).

This is a week where we remind Queenslanders to be safe on our roads.

Speeding is one of the major killers on Queensland roads.

On average, 59 people are killed and 369 seriously injured each year on Queensland roads as a result of speed-related crashes.

Research tells us that on most trips, speeding is not going to save you much time.

This Queensland Road Safety Week, we are reminding Queenslanders that your actions = your consequences.

Speeding has a direct consequence on your life and those around you.
