Quick arrest after Berwick aggravated burglary

Detectives from the Casey Crime Investigation Unit performed a quick arrest following an alleged aggravated burglary in Berwick yesterday.

A woman was home with her two children when she observed a man standing outside her Cresthaven Boulevard garage about 9am.

The woman attempted to shut the garage door, but the man allegedly ducked under and made demands for her car keys.

The victim and her children fled from the garage and called Triple Zero.

Police arrived shortly after and located a man in close proximity to the home who matched a description.

The 21-year-old Cranbourne man was arrested and later charged with aggravated burglary.

He was remanded to appear before Dandenong Magistrates' Court today.
