The QUT Business School has once again been recognised as one of the best in the world, maintaining the rare honour of Triple Crown accreditation.
A re-accreditation this month from AACSB, coupled with the recent EQUIS re-accreditation and the school's 2023 AMBA re-accreditation, affirms its standing as one of Australia's leading business schools and part of an elite group worldwide.
Professor Sharon Christensen, Executive Dean of the Faculty of Business and Law, said AACSB accreditation is globally recognised as a hallmark of excellence in business education, awarded following a rigorous peer-review process and an ongoing commitment to continuous improvement.
Only six per cent of institutions offering business degrees worldwide have achieved AACSB accreditation, recognising their excellence in teaching, research, and societal impact.
"We are proud to have successfully renewed our AACSB accreditation, reaffirming our position among the world's leading business schools and maintaining our Triple Crown status," Professor Christensen said.
"Fewer than one per cent of business schools globally hold this distinction, and it reflects the strength, integrity, and global relevance of our programs. QUT became the first business school in Australia to achieve this honour back in 2005.
"Maintaining our Triple Crown accreditation places QUT Business School in a globally elite group. More importantly, it reflects our commitment to sustained excellence - not as a one-off achievement, but as an ongoing discipline embedded in how we teach, research, and engage.
"AACSB accreditation is a rigorous, standards-based review of how we design, deliver, and continuously improve our education. The review process recognises the depth of our academic capability, the quality of our student experience, and the tangible impact of our research and industry engagement."
"For our students and partners, AACSB accreditation provides assurance that our degrees meet the highest international standards. It confirms that our curriculum is rigorous, future-focused, and closely connected to business, government, and community."
Founded in 1916, AACSB International is the world's largest global network and standard-setting body for business education. Only 24 institutions in Australia are AACSB accredited, with more than 1,900 member organisations globally in over 100 countries and territories.
