Raby Oval has been awarded first place in the prestigious Ground of the Year Award at Cricket NSW's 2024/25 Premier Cricket Awards.

Pitch and ground assessments were undertaken by the umpires after each grade fixture during the 2024/25 Premier Cricket competition. The assessment criteria focused on pitch performance, pitch condition, outfield, and markings and maintenance.

It is the second successive year that Raby Oval has placed in the top three in the Ground of the Year Award.

The venue is home to the Campbelltown-Camden District Cricket Club, otherwise known as "the Ghosts", who play in the NSW Premier Cricket competition.

"This award win is a testament to Council's hard-working teams, as well as the dedicated ground staff at Raby Oval who have prepared the field and pitch to be in tip-top shape for play each weekend," Mayor of Campbelltown Darcy Lound said.

"Raby Oval is one of Campbelltown's premier sports facilities and this award further strengthens the venue's fantastic reputation right across the Sydney region," Cr Lound said.
