Radiance Of Christmas Begins Tonight

The new season of Radiance premieres tonight, Friday 28 November, transforming the Botanic Gardens in Rockhampton into a glowing Christmas wonderland. Running nightly until Christmas Eve, this immersive light and sound experience is shaping as the sell-out event of the holiday season.

A unique, Christmas-themed story brings the Gardens to life each season and beginning tonight, attendees will step into the story of the Toy Maker's Workshop.

Under the cover of dark, attendees will be immersed in light displays, magical holograms vibrant special effects, new interactive zones and custom soundscapes. While crowd favourites such as the reflective Japanese Gardens and bedazzling falling snow return to transport attendees into a Christmas wonderland.

"Radiance has grown into a beloved Christmas tradition for the Rocky community and it's great to see it return for its third year," Mayor Tony Williams said.

"We're proud to host the event in our beautiful Botanic Gardens, which will be transformed into a Christmas wonderland.

"This year's immersive light and sound show is the perfect way to kick off the festive season with family and friends and we encourage everyone to get their tickets now before they sell out."

Rockhampton Regional Councillor for Parks, Sport and Public Spaces Cherie Rutherford said she's proud to see the Botanic Gardens showcased in such a spectacular way.

"Radiance is a magical experience that brings families together and creates lasting memories.

"It's a space that means so much to our community, and Radiance transforms it into something truly enchanting," remarked the Councillor for Parks, Sport and Public Spaces, Cherie Rutherford.

Laservision, the producer of Radiance, is a global success story known for producing record-breaking light and sound shows in Singapore, Hong Kong, Vietnam and Dubai, along with their extremely popular, limited season, Luna Light Journey's throughout Australia.

Radiance is presented in partnership with Rockhampton Regional Council. We suggest making a night of it by visiting a restaurant or venue before or after the show. Alternatively, if you wish to have dinner or pick up a snack at Radiance, the Tea Gardens have extended their trading hours for the duration of the season, while pop-up food vendors will be operating on a weekly rotation from 5 December onwards.
