Raptor Squad Charge Man With Firearm Offences During Day Of Action Targeting Finks OMCG

Raptor Squad officers have charged a man with firearm related offences following a day of action targeting Finks Outlaw Motorcycle Gang (OMCG) members and associates.

About 8.40am yesterday (Thursday 2 October 2025), officers attended an address in Ashfield where they served a Firearm Prohibition Order on a 43-year-old man.

A search of the home was subsequently conducted, during which police located a gel blaster firearm, ammunition, a small amount of cocaine, mobile phones, and knuckle dusters.

Police also located a large native carpet python, which was seized and surrendered to WIRES when it was established the man did not hold a reptile licence.

The man was arrested and taken to Burwood Police Station, where he was charged with possess unauthorised pistol, possess ammunition w/o holding licence/permit/authority, possess or use a prohibited weapon without permit, possess prohibited drug, and deal in or attempt to deal in protected animal.

He was refused bail to appear in Burwood Local Court today (Friday 3 October 2025).

Police conducted further FPO compliance checks in Bradbury and Auburn and served an FPO on a man in Campbelltown as part of the operation.
