Raptor Squad Charges Gunman in Concord Shooting Probe

Raptor Squad detectives have charged the alleged gunman responsible for a public place shooting in Concord last year.

About 1.10am on Thursday 3 July 2025, emergency services were called to Davidson Avenue in Concord after reports shots were fired at a house.

There was no one home at the time of the incident and there were no reports of injuries.

A short time later, emergency services were called to Stuart Street in Burwood following reports of a car alight.

Fire and Rescue NSW attended and extinguished the blaze; however, the vehicle was destroyed.

Officers attached to Burwood Police Area Command established crime scenes at both locations, which were treated as linked, before the matter was referred to State Crime Command's Raptor Squad under Strike Force Keysbrook.

Over the course of the investigation, three people - including a 36-year-old man - were charged over their alleged involvement and remain before the courts.

Following extensive inquiries, about 9am yesterday (Monday 2 March 2026) strike force detectives arrested a 36-year-old man in Silverwater.

He was charged with fire firearm at dwelling organised criminal activity, participate criminal group contribute criminal and damage property by fire/explosives greater than $15000.

The 36-year-old was refused bail to appear at Bail Division Court 6 today (Tuesday 3 March 2026).

Inquiries under Strike Force Keysbrook are ongoing.
