Pentagon Deputy Press Secretary Jamal Brown provided the following readout:
Amanda Dory, performing the duties of the deputy undersecretary of defense for policy, met with Kazakhstan's Deputy Defense Minister, His Excellency LTG Timur Dandybayev and Kazakhstan's Ambassador to the United States, His Excellency Mr.
Ashikbayev, to reaffirm the strategic security partnership between the United States and Kazakhstan.
The Deputy Minister expressed his appreciation for the Department's continued support for Kazakhstan's defense modernization.
Ms.
Dory and Deputy Minister Dandybayev agreed to work towards further enhancing bilateral military cooperation, and to continue close collaboration on border security and professional military education.
