This morning, President Joseph R. Biden, Jr. spoke with Commissioner of Lee County, Florida Cecil Pendergrass. FEMA Administrator Deanne Criswell joined them on the call. They discussed ways the Biden-Harris Administration can support Lee County in the immediate aftermath of Hurricane Ian, including meeting immediate needs for search and rescue efforts and power restoration as well as helping to address challenges faced by local hospitals and problems presented by damage to roads and bridges. The President reassured the Commissioner that the Administration would provide all the resources at its disposal. The Commissioner thanked the President for the support that has been provided thus far.
