The Nepean River will come alive this weekend as Real Festival lights up Tench Reserve, Jamisontown from 12-14 September 2025. Starting tonight (Friday), this free, family-friendly event promises a vibrant mix of creativity, entertainment, and riverfront fun for all ages.
While the increase river levels have led to the cancellation of Friday night's Riverside Lasers show, the festival still offers an incredible lineup of activities and entertainment that will delight visitors of all ages.
Safety remains a top priority, and council is committed to delivering a memorable experience on land.
By day, festivalgoers can explore a huge program of activities including interactive art displays, an open-air arcade, and engaging workshops. Popular sessions like Wondiverse LEGO®, proudly sponsored by Western Sydney International Airport, are still available to book but spots are limited! For those up for a little friendly competition, laser tag sessions are also on offer and must be booked in advance to secure your place.
Penrith Mayor Todd Carney said the festival continues to be a highlight on the city's event calendar.

To make getting there easy, Busways is offering a free shuttle service from Penrith Station, Emu Plains Station and Jamison Park throughout the festival.
